Privacy Policy

CanYouSell ("we", "us") provides an AI-powered sales assessment platform at canyousell.xyz. This policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to hiring teams who use the platform ("customers") and to sales candidates who complete assessments ("candidates").

Information we collect

• Account information. When you sign up we collect your name, email address, and profile details through our authentication provider, Clerk. If you sign in with Google, GitHub, or X, we receive basic profile information from that provider.
• Company information. Customers provide company details, assessment configurations (product briefs, buyer personas, scoring criteria), and candidate contact details used to send invitations.
• Assessment data. When a candidate takes an assessment, we record the voice call, generate a transcript, and compute performance metrics and AI-generated scores and feedback.
• Billing information. Payments are processed by Dodo Payments. We do not store full payment card details on our servers.
• Usage data. We collect standard technical information such as log data and device/browser type to operate and secure the service.

How we use information

• To provide the service: run assessments, score calls, and show results to the inviting company.
• To send transactional emails such as candidate invitations and account notifications (via Resend).
• To process subscriptions and payments.
• To secure, maintain, and improve the platform.
• To respond to support requests.

We do not sell personal data.

AI processing

Assessment calls are conducted with an AI buyer and analyzed using OpenAI's services. Audio and transcripts are sent to OpenAI to conduct the conversation and to generate scores and coaching feedback. We do not use candidate recordings to train our own models.

Candidates: who sees your data

If you complete an assessment at the invitation of a company, your recording, transcript, scores, and feedback are shared with that company — they are the ones evaluating your application. Questions about how a specific company uses your assessment results should be directed to that company.

Service providers

We share data with the vendors that help us run the platform: Clerk (authentication), OpenAI (voice AI and analysis), Resend (email delivery), Dodo Payments (billing), and our hosting and database providers. Each processes data only to provide their service to us.

Data retention

We keep account and assessment data for as long as the associated account is active or as needed to provide the service. Customers can request deletion of candidate data, and candidates can contact us to request deletion of their personal data, subject to legal retention requirements.

Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect data, including encryption in transit, access controls, and tokenized candidate invitation links. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, or to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below and we will respond within a reasonable timeframe.

Children

The service is intended for professional use and is not directed at anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be communicated to account holders.
